(Long time no post, I know.) Overall, I am doing SO well... Circumstantially, life is amazing. John & I say all of the time that things are too good to be true. This post is going to sound like the opposite is true, but I assure you that today is a rare day. I woke up feeling defeated and restless. Can't put my finger on why. Having a hard time shaking negative feelings today and can't even pinpoint why I'm feeling upset.
I'm entering into a spiritual battle. Well, we're always in one... but as Passion 2012 becomes sooner & sooner, Satan tries to up his game and distract everyone on our team. You know what we should do when we feel attacked?
"...be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil." Ephesians 6:10-11
BECAUSE, as a reminder...
"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:4
So we remember that:
"The LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4
THAT'S what I'm leaning on today. THAT'S what can give me peace - remembering who's team I'm on and who is fighting for me.
